Does Your Man Hate to Dress Up? Tips To Keep Him Looking Good From The Holiday Work Party To New Year’s Eve

The holiday season brings parties, family gatherings and romantic dates. Often all in the same day. While us girls flock to the opportunity to dress up and show off our flair and style, some men cringe at the idea of wearing something outside of their comfort zone. If your dude has no swag in the dress code department here are three ways to comfortably re-vamp their look into something more for the festive holiday season without making them feel uncomfortable.

Going to a New Year’s Eve party or maybe a Christmas work party?  This year men’s suit styles runs from elaborate to very relaxed and all in between.   Your bae will be happy to know that unless requested, no tie is required. This season is about your own style, and if anything just cut and fabric. A white shirt, opened at the throat, with a tailored black pant and jacket looks masculine and seductive.  For an edgier nighttime look go for materials that have a little shine to them, such as gabardine for a low shine to silk for a high shine, depending on what  your man feels at ease in.

For family gatherings or a playful date of holiday shopping, color is the key to sprucing up a daytime wardrobe. Jeans and a leather jacket can easily be made festive with a bright sweater, pullover or scarf. Bright reds, royal blues or holiday green, even if just in a scarf can set a festive mood. If bright colors are too much for your man low-key intense colors can have the same effect, such as walnut brown or charcoal grey.

The holiday season often brings busy days that go daytime to nighttime without a chance to change clothes.  We girls are experts at layering clothes and carrying make-up and jewelry to completely change the appearance of what we are wearing.  We know a Saturday morning of holiday shopping and a movie could quickly turn to a romantic dinner out and later meeting friends for drinks. How can your man add touches to keep his attire going day to night? Accessories are the key. A bold watch, maybe a masculine silver or platinum bracelet, a stylish hat or jacket and good cologne is all it will take for your man to go from daytime to a casual night out. Happy Holidays!
