Award-winning singer-songwriter Eric Bellinger releases Choose Up Season, a free mixtape featuring nine brand new songs, via HotNewHipHop.com. Guest artists include The Game, Teeflii, Pleasure P, Teyana Taylor with production by K. Roosevelt and Da Internz. Choose Up Season serves as a precursor to Bellinger’s upcoming major-label album debut Cuffing Season.

Standout song “Awkward” featuring The Game just shot to the top of the Billboard Twitter Trending 140 chart. HotNewHipHop called the track, “smooth and as radio-ready as anything else Bellinger has put out.”
Instagram fans were able to preview the mixtape songs this past weekend. Eric released nine art pieces embeded with preview snippets of the mixtape. As an added fan bonus, each song has themed artwork of the same monochromatic style and amatory atmosphere as the cover art. Once collected, the various cover art pieces forms a complete project art piece.
Eric explains the mixtape song titles and theme: “The single life in LA is wild. And the ‘CHOOSE UP’ can get very real. After you choose up, it’s time to leave the club and get your car from ‘VALET’ before continuing the turn up with a ‘HOUSE PARTY’ at the crib. If things go right, you know she’ll pulling out the ‘NIGHT BAG’ and talking to ‘THE PILLOW’ while the two of you become ‘NIGHT OWLS.’ However, it’s usually agreed upon in the beginning that the two of you will ‘NEVER BE TOGETHER’ and that things are just ‘CASUAL’ until one of them catches feeling and things instantly get ‘AWKWARD.’
