Kelela Releases Animated Video for “Frontline”

Is there better way to tell the story of a breakup than through a sims-inspired, animated video? We think not! And that’s exactly what Kelela did with “Frontline.”

The R&B singer teamed up with directors, Claudia Matè and Mischa Notcutt, to put together a 90s video game inspired video that features Kelela going through a break up with her boyfriend, walking off and getting into her fancy car and you guessed it…going to go meet up with her girls afterwards. Though it has all the aspects of a typical R&B video, it’s more than just that because of the animation and of course, Kelela’s voice.

Check out the video for “Frontline” below and make sure to check out Kelela’s 2017 album, Take Me Apart.
