Kelly Price Claims “R&B Divas:LA” Producer Pushed For Drama

Kelly’s gotten something of a bad reputation during the first season of her hit show on TV One. Much of it surrounds her behavior while attempting to pull together a show of musical monologues.

“I’m being told ‘Give Fred a little headache. Give Fred a little drama,’” she told YouTuber C Nikky in a recent interview. “At the end of the day, I accept responsibility because there were a lot of things that I said ‘no’ to prior to that.”

As Kelly implied that wasn’t the only conflict that Kelly claims producers tried asked her to bring about on the show. One of the dust ups that she refused to incite would have been a shocking confrontation between her castmate Chante Moore and her ex-husband.

“I refused when mulitple times I was asked to arranage a ‘surprise’ meeting between Chante Moore and her ex-husband Kenny Lattimore,” Kelly revealed. “I know because of my relationship with him and my private conversations with Chante that that’s not something she’s ready to have happen. They were not in that place.”

Chante and Kenny are currently going through a custody battle, so an on-camera run-in would likely have been huge for the show. Still, Kelly held onto her resolve not to facilitate that confrontation, stating, “I wasn’t about to be in the middle of it. I was asked not once, but more times that I can count.”
