Michel’le Open Up About Abuse Past With Dr. Dre

During part two of the anticipated “R&B Divas LA” reunion show Wednesday, Michel’le opened up about the fact that Dr. Dre hit her, “crooked-ed” her nose, and at one point, she loved him and respected him for doing it.

“I stayed because my father had never told me he loved me until the last three years so I think I had to go back and figure that out. Getting beat was love to me. I did five videos and we had to cover three black eyes. It seemed like the day before a video I got a black eye and we had to cover it,” Michel’le shared with host Wendy Williams. “But it was OK and I truly thought he loved me. I didn’t take it as anything bad.”

Looking back, Michel’le went on to say that she learned that what “Dre” did wasn’t love, it was abuse and she credits Suge Knight for helping her understand that a man shouldn’t put his hands on a woman.

“I finally realized that wasn’t good.  Believe it or not, the person who made me see that was Suge,” said Michel’le.

All of that said,  Michel’le and Dr. Dre have moved past what happened during the course of their relationship.

“Dr.Dre and I have no BEATS ….:) we are grown now . I learned a man hands should be jus that HIS! Now put that on LAY-A-WAY GOD brought me my gifts already :),” Michel’le told fans via Twitter. “We coo !!!!!”

In related news, Michel’le is in for another season if  producers want her back for  “R&B Divas LA,” but it’s unclear if everyone will return, including Kelly Price and Dawn Robinson.

“R&B Divas LA” aired on TV One.
