Ne-Yo Confirms Plans For Sixth Studio Album, Talks Musical Direction

Ne-Yo is ‘still’ putting things together for Beyonce’s album, but  that doesn’t mean he’s pushing  back plans to get in the studio for his next album.

Breaking the news in a recent interview, Ne-Yo says this Summer he will not only tour, but he will be writing and recording for his sixth studio album.

“Definitely touring, about to start recording my sixth album in a minute. Getting my mind ready for  whatever that is, figuring out exactly what it is I  want to say my sixth time out,” Ne-Yo shared with Refinery  29. “Just keeping busy. Still  got a bunch of artists over here doing artist development  on. As much as you can for as long as you can, that’s my motto.”

Coming off hit singles like “Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To  Love Yourself)” and “Play Hard” (David  Guetta), Ne-Yo has an open mind about his  next album and music overall.

“I feel like, at the end of the day, as long as it’s good music, it  doesn’t matter what genre or what style  it is. As long as it’s good. From rock music  to country music to pop music to death metal whatever — I  don’t care, as long as you’re down  to make something good,” says Ne-Yo
