Dance/Pop music dominated 2011 and with the dawn of a new year, R&B fans are eager for a resurgence of true RnB. Launching this era is none other than Tank who released the lead single from his upcoming ‘Savior’ album, ‘Next Breath’, just days ago.
This a beautiful song and is perfectly suited to the R&B and Adult Contemporary formats. Tank is clearly not concerned with scoring a mainstream hit so for a song that was crafted to succeed in his lane, ‘Next Breath’ is definitely solid. Besides, with most of the male artists unable to sing without the assistance of auto-tune, Tank’s voice is a welcome change from their basic tripe.
