The best R & B performances at the VMAs 2017

The MTV Video Music Awards 2017 had a great innovation by leaving aside the distinction of genres that existed in its categories. In this way, male and female artists will compete for the prize within the same category. But, as usual, what stands out most of the night are the live performances. Impressive tributes and performances took place on the night of the 2017 VMAs.

After giving a show in New York and another in Monterrey, Kendrick Lamar came to the MTV Video Music Awards to offer a performance which had everything. And with “everything” we mean that his show even included a group of ninjas and fire.

While “DNA.” and “HUMBLE.” Sounded in the background, the rapper moved from one side of the stage to the other with squares made of fire behind him. As if this wasn’t enough, there were also ninjas who later also began to burn (literally) and to dance to the rhythm of the music.

Sunday night. Lorde offered one of the most unusual presentations in the history of the MTV Video Music Awards. And is that the New Zealand girl chose to use a recorded track of the song “Homemade Dynamite” cut of his latest album, and do a choreography live, after being voiceless because of the flu.
Despite the setback, Lorde found a solution to fulfill her commitment to the MTV VMAs 2017 and made a “physical interpretation” of the song of her most recent album.

Fifth Harmony unleashed a controversy during their last presentation in the VMAs celebrated last Sunday in Los Angeles. While they were on the stage they had an unpleasant gesture with their former member Camila Cabello.

Just before starting his presentation with the theme “Angel”, the quartet appeared on stage with a member who also wore the Galactic outfit but did not show her identity. Lauren Jauregui, Normani Kordei, Ally Brooke and Dinah Jane raised their heads to the rhythm of the initial beat, and at that moment, the fifth anonymous member was thrown into the void.

Although the performance of the quartet was incredible while they presented their new singles “Angel” and “Down”, all that is spoken now is their lousy gesture with Cabello, who has not declared about it.

Although Demi Lovato was not present during the awards ceremony, the artist had a performance at the MTV Video Music Awards 2017 from Las Vegas. During the event a video of a performance of the singer was transmitted, where we could appreciate her most recent success ‘Sorry Not Sorry’.

Then came the turn for the great honored of the night, P!Nk. The singer celebrated her 17-year career, singing her new single “What About Us” and the hits “Get The Party Started”; “Raise Your Glass”; “So What”; “Just Give Me a Reason” and “Perfect.” It was a powerful medley that ended with the delivery of the award “Michael Jackson of Vanguard” to the singer directly from the hands of her friend Ellen DeGeneres.

Logic interpreted his inspiring theme 1-800-273-8255, named as the national suicide prevention service’s telephone number. He was accompanied on stage by survivors of suicide attempts as well as by singers Alessia Cara (winner of the best dance video) and Khalid (best new artist).
