Where are They Now: Tweet

You might remember her from rockin’ the mic with Missy Elliott and from her infamous single “Oh My,” back in 2002. Remember Tweet, whose soulful voice was heard all over a Missy track and a Timbaland beat? The New York bred singer/songwriter has been missin’ from the scene for a while now, and after this year, we will be hearing a lot more of her with the release of her album in the beginning of next year. The 44 year old (yes 44. I know she looks good right? Exactly what I was thinking!) will be releasing a comeback album next year titled Charlene.
The singer decided to take an independent route after being signed to Elektra, Atlantic, Umbrella, and DuBose records. Her longtime friend Missy will be producing on this upcoming album. We’ve seen Tweet dabble in t.v. as well where she appeared in “Honey” and an episode of “The Parkers.”
Today, Tweet is a mom to one daughter who is a gospel singer and working on the release of her highly anticipated album.
While we wait for our missing Rnb genius to return to the game, let’s enjoy one of our favorite throwback jams from the singer. Watch “Oops (Oh My)” below.
