Trey Songz turned himself into the Los Angeles police on Monday (March 19) to face allegations that he physically abused Andrea Buera at a Hollywood Hills party during NBA All-Star Weekend in February.
According to TMZ, Songz, whose real name is Tremaine Neverson, was booked on a felony domestic assault charge and later posted a $50,000 bond.
Before surrendering to police, he issued a statement via his Twitter account denying the victim’s domestic abuse accusations. He told his fans that he is “being lied on and falsely accused for someone’s personal gain.”
For weeks my lawyers & Mgmt have asked me not to comment on this and I initially agreed but this morning I feel that my fam, the women that raised me, my friends & fans especially the youth need to hear from me. I am being lied on and falsely accused for someone’s personal gain
