BET announced on Wednesday plans to begin production on a new original movie for television called “Gun Hill,” staring today’s birthday boy, Larenz Tate as well as Tawny Cypress and Aisha Hinds.
The gritty cop drama plays up the old Bible tale of Cain and Abel on the backdrop of New York City.
The story of identical twins, with opposite lifestyles, is filled with dramatic twists and turns. One who is a cop, is killed, and the other who is a criminal assumes his identity. Tate takes on the dual roles.
“Gun Hill” is written. directed, produced and executive produced by Reggie ‘Rock’ Bythewood. No word yet on when the film will premiere on the network.
