BJ The Chicago Kid Releases His New Song, “Soul Of A Woman”

Just as his name suggests, Brian Sledge or more commonly known as BJ The Chicago Kid was born in Illinois. With choir directors for parents, he was already well adapted to performing vocally. After his big move to Los Angeles when he was just 19, he started backup vocals for a Gospel group called Mary Mary, while also writing RnB lyrics for various artists. Since then he has worked with several big names including,  Kanye West, R. Kelly, Schoolboy Q, Kendrick Lamar, and many more. Signed with record label, M.A.F.E Music LLC, in 2012 Sledge released his first studio album called Pineapple Now-Laters. Since his last album, Sledge has worked around the clock with a new major record label called Midtown, his newest single, Soul Of A Woman was just released this past week. Sledge definitely puts a new respectful twist on the perspective of a woman with his debut. The record release date and name are still a mystery, but fans already are lovin’ his new track and yearning for more.
