Mary J. Blige Gets Rocked With $3.4 Million Tax Lien From IRS

While Mary J. Blige was already feeling the heat from owing $901,769.65 in back taxes to the state of New Jersey, she’s now got even bigger financial numbers to worry about.  The IRS recently filed a federal tax lien against the “Queen of Hip-Hop Soul” for neglecting to pay her income taxes from 2009-2011.  The total numbers are painful to look at on paper, let alone actually have to attempt to pay off.

In 2009 she allegedly failed to pay $574,907.30, and defaulted on her taxes in 2010, to which she owed $2,203,743.53.  Finally, in 2011 she allegedly failed to pay $647,604.60, which all-in-all brings her grand total to $3,426,255.43!

Those are hefty numbers… But wait!  There’s more!

In addition to her bundles of tax stresses, Blige is also facing a lawsuit alleging that she failed to pay back a $2.2 million bank loan, and her charity, FFAWN, is also currently facing a lawsuit for $250,000 claiming that her charity never paid back a loan as well.

Neither Mary nor her representatives have commented on the matters so far.
