(November 6, 2012 – New York, NY)  With his red-hot new single “Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself)” topping 1 million sales worldwide and Top 10 this week (at #9-bullet) on the Billboard Hot 100, multi-platinum, three-time Grammy Award-winning Motown Records artist NE-YO has set the stage for the Election Day release of his new album R.E.D., already #1 at iTunes in Japan after its early release there.  iTunes link:http://smarturl.it/neyoreditd.

This week’s release of R.E.D. launches one of the most intensive television campaigns in NE-YO‘s career, beginning with his Monday morning appearance on ABC’s The View, and Wednesday performance on BET’s 106 & Park.  NE-YO is set for CBS’s The Late Show with David Letterman on Wednesday night, and then he travels to Las Vegas to tape the Soul Train Music Awards on Thursday (to be broadcast Nov. 25th), and returns to New York to wrap up the week with ABC’s Good Morning America on Friday.  Upcoming tv appearances continue with Ellen (Nov. 13); ABC’s Dancing With the Stars (Nov. 13); ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live (Nov. 14); the Nickelodeon Halo Awards (Nov. 19); CW’s “90210” (Nov. 26);  CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute (Dec. 2); and NBC’s The Voice (Dec. 4).

In Monday’s final hours leading up to the R.E.D. album release, NE-YO stopped by FUSE TV headquarters in New York for a 30-minute livestream event beginning at 5:00 p.m. (EST); go to www.fuse.tv.  At the very same time (5:00 p.m.) VH1 re-aired its “NE-YO: Behind the Music” special.  NE-YOalso performed a set for AOL Sessions, which can be viewed here: http://www.theboombox.com/2012/10/16/ne-yo-let-me-love-you-aol-sessions/.  And has been doing “Road to R.E.D.” chats on Ustream, discussing the making of the album and answering fan questions.

In conjunction with President Obama’s re-election campaign, NE-YO participated in the all-star group that recorded “Forward” – including Herbie Hancock, Johnny Rzeznik of the Goo Goo Dolls, Delta Rae and Natasha Bedingfield – as a grassroots effort to motivate and inspire nationwide voter participation.  Among the song’s composers was Fred Goldring, who was behind the 2008 multiple award-winning grassroots music video “Yes We Can” withWill.i.am“Forward” is available for free download at www.forwardsong.com and sold on iTunes with net proceeds donated to NE-YO‘s Compound Foundation and to Arts Education programs focused on turning around arts and music-based programs in public schools.

“Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself)” made music history when it captured the #1 spot on the UK national chart in September.  NE-YO‘s overall 5th #1 UK single, it also marked his first #1 UK hit as a Motown artist, since his move from Def Jam to Motown in January 2012.  The single also marked NE-YO‘s biggest #1 UK sales week (at 90,000 units) and was Motown’s first #1 UK hit in 20 years, since Boyz II Men’s “End of the Road” in 1992.

The success of “Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself)” and the release of R.E.D. are underscored by the fact that NE-YO is not only an artist on the newly revitalized Motown, but also serves as the label’s Senior Vice President of A&R.  R.E.D. is NE-YO‘s first album for Motown after seven hugely successful years and four RIAA gold and platinum albums as a core member of IDJ since 2005.  NE-YO has seen over 8 million albums and 23 million singles sold worldwide.  In the U.S., his first three albums are all nearing RIAA double platinum for sales in excess of 2 million copies each; and he has amassed five platinum and one RIAA gold single.
