THROWBACK THURSDAY: Total ‘Kissing You’ PLUS Bonus Throwback Track

One of my all time favorite girl groups is Total. My pre-teens and teeanage years were filled with their racy lyrics, one of a kind collaborations and long lasting, transcending through time tracks.

In the midst of a R&B dominated era, the New Jersey natives stood out by collaborating with artists including Notorious B.I.G., Foxy Brown and LL Cool J. Besides lending there spicy voices to big name artist, the girls managed to squeeze out a few hits singles themselves including “Kissin’ You,” “Can’t You See” and “Sittin Home,” and peaked at RIAA’s certified platinum status.

As quickly as they came they left, leaving fans wondering what happened to the Bad Boy threesome. Reports and interviews surface every now and then about the ladies and what they are doing. After watching one of their hit singles “Kissing You” scroll down to find out for yourself to see what the ladies are up to and check out a bonus throwback track.

Arguably the lead of the group, Pam is now a devout Christian and recently released a single titled “By Myself.” Long reportedly had plans to release an album titled ‘Undeniable’  this year but that has yet to surface. Long still speaks of her fellow Total cohorts and previously broke down the group’s breakup with IMissTheOldSchool.com this way; “I wasn’t happy with me. […] I just think that it was something going on with everybody and the company. At the time it was one of the worst things that happened with me.” Long is on social media under her @PamelaLong1 Twitter handle

Kima Raynor

JaKima ‘Kima’ Raynor has been virtually quiet on the music scene since the group’s breakup. She did however collaborate with her sister Vita of Ja Rules’ Murder Inc. fame. In 1997 Raynor wed and became Jakima Dyson. She is said to be still residing in New Jersey with her family and tweets under the Twitter handle @TotallyKima
