Lafayette, LA singer and newcomer to the game, Yung Juko, nabbed the #2 slot on Billboard’s Hot Singles Sales chart this week, shooting up 13 spots from #15 for his mesmerizing song, “Trust Nobody.” Add to that the video, which was released in April currently sits at over 640K plays and is growing at a rate of about 10K daily. The 20 year old has been putting in work since the single’s release, performing around the South as more stations add the song. What makes his success all the more gratifying is Juko’s disability; he was diagnosed with Spina Bifida as an infant but it certainly isn’t holding him back. “In 1995 I was diagnosed with Spina Bifida but that ain’t stop me from doing anything. ‘I was like if they can do it I can do it!’ I was raised by a single mother with 5 kids and I started singing by the age of 11. Ruben Studdard and his “I Need An Angel” song was my inspiration to sing.” Keep your eyes peeled for more from Yung Juko’s debut album, “YNFA” (Your Next Favorite Artist) which is set to release later this year and be sure to tell a friend to tell a friend. ~@officiajuko
