Janet Jackson means business with this comeback. Since announcing plans to drop her first album in seven years later this year, the singer has released a new single and revealed a world tour. And Tuesday, she put out the lyric video for the single, “No Sleeep.”
On Twitter, Jackson calls the video a “tiny glimpse into our creative space.” Throughout its three and a half minutes, we get a look at Jackson jamming to her beats, handwritten notes on her lyrics and what it’s like being in the studio with the star.
The slow, sultry jam fits right in with Jackson’s older repertoire, but represents her “new movement” for 2015. Jackson begins herUnbreakable World Tour next month and is set to put out her new album—which remains untitled at this time—this fall.
