Ne-Yo recently sat down with Fuse to discuss leading by example with his new album Good Man. With Good Man dropping June 8, Ne-Yo is ready to flip the script on the “good guy narrative” for this younger generation.
“I hate that society has, over the years, kind of painted it in a specific way — the bad boy is always more fun, the bad boy is always more cool,” explains Ne-Yo. “I want to let the younger generation know that it’s alright not to be the bad dude…you can have morals, there can be some positivity in you and you’ll still be fly.”
Good Man has already spawned the title track and No. 1 R&B single “Good Man,” the club-ready “Push Back” and the smooth slow jam “Apology.”
