People love pointing the finger at another person instead of doing something to actually make a change. Bill O’Reilly gave his opinion on Beyonce and how she played a part with the increasing number of teen pregnancy amongst Nubian teens.
O’Reilly opens up the segment with a video of Beyonce’s rear end blurred out and then he introduces two women to discuss Beyonce and her behavior. Peggy Nance from Concerned Women of America agreed with O’Reilly, saying Beyonce is a bad influence.
O’ Reilly said, “She knows — this woman knows — that young girls are getting pregnant in the African-American community. Now it’s about 70 percent out-of-wedlock. She knows and doesn’t seem to care.”
O’ Reilly’s facts are some what true, yes in 2010 it was reported 72 percent of black children were born to single family homes. This is not Beyonce’s fault, because majority of the time Bey encourages girls to be strong, independent and don’t take no crap from anyone.
It’s not an entertainers job to raise the children of the future. You can’t get mad at entertainers, but encourage the news. Most of the horrific things said in a song or script comes from reality. Its like which one came first, the chicken or the egg? In this case, did the news come first or the situations?
