Bruno Mars & Janelle Monáe are taking their talents to the big screen. The singers have joined the cast of 20th Century Fox’s ‘Rio 2.’ 20th Century Fox has announced the full voice cast for Rio 2, the sequel to the 2011 animated film.
Jamie Foxx, will.i.am, Anne Hathaway, and Jesse Eisenberg will reprise their roles in the movie. New additions to the cast include Bruno Mars, Andy Garcia, and Kristin Chenoweth, who will all lend their voices to new characters. Janelle Monáe will also get animated and contribute music to the soundtrack.
Rio 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on April 14, 2014.
