Jamie Foxx To Take Part In Michael Jackson Tribute Concert

Jamie Foxx is to take part in the upcoming Michael Jackson tribute concert according to TMZ.com

The 43-year-old actor and singer will appear live in Wales where the October show is due to take place. Foxx joins other stars such as CHRISTINA AGULERIA, CEE-LO and motown legend Smokey Robinson. Also booked to perform in the tribute show is R&B superstar Beyonce, although recently announcing that she is pregnant, at the 2011 MTV VMA awards, it has not stopped her from contributing Beyonce will perform something special according to a source speaking to TMZ.com the audience can expect “a unique, never before seen performance”. This month (September 2011) also sees Dr. Conrad Murray go on trial for the manslaughter of the Thriller star following his surprise death in 2009.

Jamie Foxx was born in Texas and first began his career in the limelight by performing in various stand up comedy clubs, eventually he moved into television and was given his own show, The Jamie Foxx show in 1996. He later moved into the movies and secured his first major role in Oliver Stone’S drama Any Given Sunday as the cocky yet naive quarterback Willie Beamen. He is currently filming the big screen adaptation of computer game Kane & Lynch alongside Bruce Willis, which is the story of a pair of death row escapees who set out to retrieve a stolen fortune.
