Growing up in a world of multiple musical influences, the Seattle, Washington native Singer and Songwriter Jessica Domingo is revealing all new ingredients to her growing disposition. Originating with YouTube cover songs, she is now stepping up her game with all original tracks. Her relationship to recording her own cover songs began with her attraction to YouTube videos in her freshman year of high school. It wasn’t before long, that her cover song videos starting racking up thousands of views. “It was a huge surprise, I had no idea what was going on at first. Even just having one hundred, or one thousand views made me feel awesome”, states Domingo.
Domingo is showing all the dimensions of her characteristics through the versatility in her music. Additionally, she is more than just an amazing singer, she is also fluent in playing piano, guitar, ukulele, and knows her way around a drum set. Her free-flowing personality, and her effortless talent with music creates a perfect medium for her to connect closely with her fans.
Domingo puts her own spin on her music through the multi-influenced take on several musical characteristics. “I think my music is different in the diversity of instruments. It’s free and all around unique because it has elements from all genres”, she states.
Domingo’s personality shines right through her music, revealing her outgoing, friendly, and creative mentality; spreading it through her fans like wildfire. Her journey of all original tracks began with her first EP, Taking Chances. While Domingo’s launch excited her, she desired to have more of her own unique influences. According to Domingo, “I worked really hard on it, but I wasn’t satisfied with the final result because I only wrote two of the songs on it. I wanted to make an album of songs that I could more closely relate to, and that other people could be inspired by”.
After working persistently on an all-original album for almost 2 years, she was able to finally release all of her hard work with “Just Vibe”. According to Domingo, “Creating Just Vibe was part of my growing up. It was very experimental through compiling all of my sounds together”. The 10-track-album compiles the fun and friendliness that Domingo’s personality radiates. The album has been conducted as means for her fans to really connect with her on another level. It’s really just “10 songs for my listeners to just vibe with me as I grow through my premature writing stage of life and my young self”, states Domingo.
It’s been one year since her release of “Just Vibe”, and the musical diva is already gearing for the release of her upcoming album, “Masterpiece”. The album debuts some of her most emotional, yet leisurely tracks yet. The single “Masterpiece” being one of the more motivating, and inspirational pieces, with a beautiful underlining message of self-confidence. “The song actually started off with me recording myself on my phone with my ukulele and random lyrics”, says Domingo. The enlightening track supports the artistic individuality that makes each person on this earth a beautiful masterpiece. Meanwhile, the rest of the album features many diverse elements to create an unprecedented work of art.
Domingo does not plan to stop now; her inspiration will help her climb to the top of success with her talent and creativity as harnessed support. “ I will be writing many new songs with a new writing process, which will help me find my true identity”, she says. Furthermore, keep your eyes open because Domingo will be planning more album releases, and a tour in the near future.
