“‘Piggybank’ is a song I wrote about winning,” Daye tells The FADER. “It’s about wanting to get paid, wanting to be rich and embrace the lifestyle that comes with the partying and having a good time. It’s also about having a little bit of doubt about what should and shouldn’t be a priority. Especially the fears of having all the fancy things – money, drugs, cars, jewelry, girls – and losing them.”
Hailing from the suburbs of Atlanta by way of Nigeria, the buzzing yet introspective MC took a leave of absence from his computer science studies at NYU to pursue his musical dreams. “Piggybank” follows up two exceptional projects from the 19-year old including his breakthrough debut Hello World and the criminally slept-on Soul Glitch.
