Demetria McKinney is a woman who wears many hats, and wears them well. Demetria is best known for her role as “Janine Payne” on the hit TBS sitcom “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne”. I had the pleasure to speak with this multi-talented woman who is an actress, model, and now taking her first love to a whole new level which is singing. Her new single “Still Believe in Love” featuring Musiq Soulchild is an amazing song which is now available on ITunes.
“Musiq Soulchild is one of the best singers to work with. He asked me what type of direction I wanted take, and I told him I wanted to talk about love and when you lose it. He produced the song, and I wrote it.”
Demetria has a new single called “Work with Me” that will be available Thursday on ITunes.
“I love singing, I have been singing since I was 4 years old.”
You can expect a lot from Demetria in the future. Be on the lookout for an album, the UP channel movie In the Meantime also starring Tamela Mann, David Mann, Terri J. Vaughn, Darrin Dewitt Henson, and many more. This is must see movie, with a must see cast. Also Demetria will also be a part of the movie Let the Church Say Amen directed by Regina King.
