The Survivor’s Fashion show benefiting cancer research was a huge success. The show was held June 25th (during BET Awards weekend) at the beautiful Taglyan Complex in Hollywood.
In honor of those we loss due to cancer, those battling, and the survivors, the event was created to not only raise awareness to cancer research, but funds to benefit those battling this disease.
Sweeney Mae, a marketing professional who put this event together in memory of her father who died of lung cancer, Thanhdi,a fashion stylist who is also owner of True X, and Latonya Washington, owner of LW Special Events Management, are three driven women saw the affect cancer has on society and successfully executed this memorable event.
