Beyoncé Breaks Spotify Record as “4” Hits 1 Billion Streams

Beyoncé is the first woman to have three albums surpass one billion Spotify streams.Her 2011 album 4 has now hit the one billion mark on the streaming service, seven years after its release.

On Monday, Beyonce’s critically acclaimed studio album 4 joined I Am… Sasha Fierce and Beyoncé as one of the singer’s three albums to have a collected a billion streams each on the service.

4’s most popular tracks include “Run the World (Girls)” and “Love On Top” which together accounts for an impressive 400 million streams.

Only time will tell if she will release her latest album Lemonade on Spotify as she waited a year to release 2013’s Beyoncé on the platform.
