It looks like Kim Kardashian isn’t the only one bidding farewell to her man this week. Vivica A. Fox’s wedding plans have come to an abrupt halt after she and her ex-fiance Omar “Slim” White called off their 10-month engagement.
White told TooFab.com that it was his decision to walk away from the relationship, suggesting that there may have been too much drama going on between the two.
“She’s a good woman. It’s just one of those situations where in life people outgrow each other,” said the 28-year-old Atlanta club promoter. “One thing I hate is negativity and drama, I hate arguing, and I value communication no matter what the problem may be. So as in any relationship, tension can build up and I finally had to walk away.” Ouch.
Despite Fox being 19 years his senior, White was adamant that their age difference didn’t contribute to the breakup.
The couple drew media attention in January after White proposed with an eight-karat diamond ring, People reported. The couple had been dating for more than a year before getting engaged to the “Kill Bill” star.
“I was only in it for love and it just didn’t work out,” he said. “Even though she was older than me the age difference didn’t play a part.”
Fox has yet to comment on the break up, but announced on Twitter Thursday that she was doing fine.
“I’m excellent,” she tweeted. “All is good thankx!”
It would have been the second wedding for Fox, who was previously married to singer Christopher Harvest from 1998 to 2002.
She also dated rapper 50 Cent in 2003.
