Uma + Virtue. Are “Golden” With Their Newest Single Release

Singer/songwriter Uma, a solo artist based in New York and Los Angeles, teams up with Los Angeles music Producer & DJ, Virtue. (aka >irtue.), to create their newest single, “Golden.”

The track drips with smooth, atmospheric vocals and jazzy instrumentation that melt in your ear. This musical collaboration displays their undeniable talents of singing, songwriting, and composing sounds that ride the beat with effortless fluidity.

Singer-songwriter, Uma, has a sound that has evolved into an original blend of R&B, Electronic, Indie Rock and Jazz. She honed her skills at Princeton University, where she studied Jazz Studies, with a concentration in vocal performance and songwriting. Uma has also been featured in music outlets, such as The 405, FutureClassics, and Goingsolo for her previous single “Oceans” (Prod. By Virtue.).

Growing up in Los Angeles, Uma drew influence from both traditional Indian and Latin music in the Ayurvedic clinic run by her Colombian mother. Today, Uma performs as a solo artist in NYC and LA; she leads the band Cactus Karma on the East Coast, where they have opened for artists such as the O’My’s and Vulfpeck. In Los Angeles, Uma works with Rock Mafia – a songwriting and production group..
