JoJo Announces Official First Single

Vocal powerhouse JoJo has been slowly making her return to the music scene, working hard in the studio on her third LP entitled ‘Jumping Trains,’ for the last three years. The songstress took to Twitter to announce the title of her first official single off of the project – “Disaster.”

According to a retweet by JoJo, the song fits into the pure pop genre. Tampa Bay’s 93.3 FLZ tweeted that the song sounds similar to JoJo’s previous hit “Too Little Too Late” and that the song will impact pop radio soon. As of the announcement time, there were no dates set yet for the track to be sent out to radio.

In a recent interview with True Exclusives, JoJo described the album as “a journal excerpt of a young woman’s life.” As far as the content and sound of the album, fans can expect it to be along the lines of “aggressive, in your face, edgy, but still vulnerable. It’s a lot of transparency; sometimes being brutally honest, and sometimes falling on your face and dealing with it. But it’s still fun.”

Most recently, JoJo made sure to keep her name relevant earlier this year with her popular remake of Drake’s “Marvin’s Room.” The singer also put out a free download of a duet with former NLT frontman, Travis Garland, entitled “Paint.”
