Last Tuesday, October 25th, the Roxy was filled with women and men all there to see Kalin White slay his first solo performance. You may remember Kalin from the duo “Kalin and Myles.” The duo split earlier this year to pursue solo careers.
According to the NorCal natives, via their website, they state, “After a lot of thought, we’ve decided to take a break from making music together to focus on individual aspirations.”
A few months after the split, Kalin has released new music and has headlined two shows, one being at the Roxy in Hollywood.
To open up his first headlining performance was singer Bryan J. I must admit, the ladies were loving his performance, especially when he took his shirt off.
After his set, the DJ made sure to keep the crowd entertained playing some of everyone’s favorite RnB joints.
When it was time for Kalin to come on stage, let’s just say every girl in the venue was screaming, camera phones out and ready to begin uploading to their Snapchats.
Kalin appeared on stage with a screen behind him showing clips and photos of the singer.
He couldn’t contain himself and says “this is a very special day for me” before walking away from the microphone very emotional. He returns back to the microphone and says “you guys could be anywhere but you’re here with me” and explains that this is his first time on stage by himself.
The singer continues his performance playing original music and in the midst of performing original songs, kalin made sure to pay homage to Michael Jackson, someone he calls his inspiration. To pay homage, the singer performed “human nature.”
Once his set was over, everyone was still in awe. Girls were screaming and the guys in the audience had to give props.
Walking out of the Roxy, concert goers were smiling, laughing, and reminiscing about their night. Everyone truly enjoyed themselves.
