Trey Songz can rest easier now that his name has been cleared in a somewhat controversial and strange strip club based case.
As widely reported, a woman alleged that Songz had smacked her in the face with cash during an album release party last Summer.
According to TMZ, the case has been thrown out due to a lack of sufficient evidence.
“There would be no clear case of misconduct. There was just no high level of recklessness,” a source from the Queens, NY District Attorney’s office told TMZ, following up on the fact that prosecutors were unable to prove that Songz did anything illegal.
In the initial report, the woman claimed that Songz caused “substantial pain to her left eye” when allegedly smacking her with currency.
