(WATCH) Verse and Flow: New Season New Talent

Inspiring original spoken word and music showcase Verses and Flow new season is underway.

The premier of Season 3 aired Wednesday on TV One.  Produced by Lexus, the series once again filmed at the historic Belasco Theater in downtown Los Angeles returns with emotionally charged poetry and musical performances anchored in contemporary cultural, political and social topics.

Actor Omari Hardwick, best known for his roles in For Colored Girls, CSI: Miami, and Sparkle returns to host the 12 episode third season, presenting three electrifying, original poetry performances and a musical performance per episode.  This season’s roster of award winning R&B talent includes Jill Scott, Bridget Kelly, RaVaughn, Andra Day, Vivian Green, Mary Mary, Tony Rich, Kenny Lattimore, Bell Biv Devoe, Faith Evans, Anthony Hamilton, Avant, and Raheem DeVaughn.

Each artist performed songs from their vast collection of hits, while supported by musical director extraordinaire Adam Blackstone and the “Verses and Flow” house band.
