Los Angeles, CA– Writer and advocate for the LGBT millennials, Jayce Baron, produced and hosted
Kiss & Tell Live at the Downtown Independent in Los Angeles. A division of The Kiss + Tell Collective,
this event is designed to curate conversation led by the Los Angeles chapter panelists. From a gay HIV
activist, drag queen performer, transgender humanitarian, to lesbian YouTube personality, the diverse
and opinionated Kiss & Tell panelists elaborated on topics such as “sexting”, masculine and feminine
roles when it comes to courting, the trans movement in media, and spiritual opinions when it comes
to differences between the LGBT community and the church.
Chilled wine and fresh popcorn were served as singer/songwriter Malia Vibes opened the event with
her hit song “Satisfaction” and own soulful rendition of The Weeknd’s “Earned It”. Local designer,
Donnie of Cafe De La Hue, wowed guests with his cafe themed bowtie collection pop up shop helping
raise awareness & funds to support services for those affected by HIV/AIDS in Los Angeles. Badami &
Co, a handmade leather accessory brand also showcased their newest essentials for Kiss + Tell guest
to preview and purchase.
Sponsors also included Boi Revolution, a division of In The Meantime Men, TruEvolution, grr Apparel,
and DJ Higher LvL. Guests contributed underwear that was donated to the LA LGBT Center. Kiss & Tell
previously collected clothing from attendees for The Los Angeles Mission on Skid Row in Downtown
Los Angeles at the winter event in February.
“The LGBT community can be a very insecure one. Many don’t have a roadmap to how life is
supposed to play out for us, so a lot of times we sweep our emotions under the rug because we
simply don’t know what to do with them. I wanted to create an environment where everyone could
be comfortable, laugh, and discuss any and everything. I don’t have the answers, but if I can create
the platform to start conversation to find those answer, I’m all for it. Plus, a drag queen recited John
3:16. Doesn’t get much better than that.” – Jayce Baron
Panelist include Gabriel Maldonado, California Commissioner and CEO of TruEvolution, a youth
development and social justice nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing social disparities
through education, advocacy, health & wellness programs and services. Gabriel also serves on
President Obama’s Advisory Board. Amber from “AmbersCloset”, lesbian stem YouTube celebrity also
shared her insight, as well as other panelist Jazmyn “Jsimone” Echelon, Southern California drag
queen extraordinaire and Michelle’ Michaels, transgender ballroom legend and LGBT Humanitarian.
Jayce Baron has always found a way to turn his creative ideas into a reality. With a background in
