Jermaine Dupri Will Become a Member Of The Songwriters Hall Of Fame 2018

According to Billboard, the 45-year-old mogul will be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame alongside a few others in music.

Dupri is responsible for helping shape the sound of hip-hop/R&B from the 90s to the mid-2000s. He’s put pen to paper to craft top-charting singles for Mariah Carey, Xscape, Janet Jackson, Usher, Jagged Edge and more. Some R&B hits he was responsible for: Mariah Carey’s “We Belong Together” and “Always Be My Baby,” Usher’s “Burn,” and Alicia Keys’ “Girlfriend”

“I can’t fucking believe it,” Dupri wrote under a celebratory video of himself screaming with joy. “This what all the long nights and early mornings is all about.”
