Rihanna is hard at work on a followup to Anti, and according to a new report from The Sun, she wants it to sound sonically similar to 2010’s Loud (“S&M,” “What’s My Name” featuring Drake, “Love The Way You Lie”).
An insider told The Sun newspaper: “Rihanna loved Anti but knows it wasn’t anywhere as successful as her previous albums.
“She sat down with management and decided she needs to go back to what people love.”
While none of this is confirmed, it’ll be interesting to see what direction Rihanna goes for on R9. Anti was definitely a masterpiece in it’s own right.
