WHAT IS THE ULTIMATE GAMING LEAGUE?
The Ultimate Gaming League is a startup digital e-sports media companythat hosts its own branded e-sports tournaments and championships. Based out of the Bay Area city of Oakland, UGL hosted its first two seasons of e-sports competitions covering the best Madden and NBA2k players in the Bay Area, and drawing local talent to compete with pros for e-sports glory and prize winnings. The overall goal and mission of UGL is to bring more of today’s youthful professional athletes into the e-sports ecosystem and infrastructure as players, owners, and investors. UGL will incorporate the world of blockchain and its token-based opportunities to inherit value to enable purchases, sales and other financial transactions in the growing e-sports ecosystem.
The Ultimate Gaming League was founded by Brad Flewellen, Chuck Johnson, and co-founder Carmen Sudduth as well as USD’s Josh Johnson to foster diversity in the technology/gaming space through groundbreaking events and education. Josh Johnson made headlines last week as he was chosen as protected player by the San Diego Fleet during the Alliance of American Football’s inaugural Quarterback Draft on CBS Sports. All of UGL’s co-founders form a partnership between business entrepreneurs and entertainment industry professionals, alongside professional athletes who also have a strong interest and passion for e-sports gaming.
Daryle “The Guru” Johnson (host from Bay Area sports station 95.7 The Game) has been keeping gamers on their toes and the crowd hyped on all the action at every UGL event. The cutting-edge experience with multiple gaming stations, live-streaming on Twitch and a hip-hop-infused vibe makes one thing clear: UGL tournaments are miles ahead of the mainstream e-sports world!
