Robin Thicke Secures 9th Week A top R&B Songs Chart, 6th A top Hot 100

There is nothing blurry about the success of Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines”.  The hit and breakthrough single leading Thicke’s forthcoming album, is winning yet again this week.

According to Billboard, “Blurred Lines” has earned another week atop the R&B Songs chart, giving the song a total of nine weeks at no.1.

Moving another 384,000 digital copies, “Blurred Lines” is also no.1 on the Digital Songs and Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs charts for seventh and sixth weeks consecutively.

On the coveted Hot 100, “Blurred Lines” is also no.1 for another week, garnering a total of six weeks all together.

“”Lines” slightly widens its lead on the Hot 100 over Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky” (also featuring Pharrell), which ranks at No. 2 for a fifth week,” reports Billboard. “As “Lines” gains by 1% in overall chart points and “Lucky” loses 2% of its total, “Lines” claims a 76% lead in points (after leading by 70% last week).”

“Blurred Lines” is also no.1 on the Radio Songs chart for a second week, up by 15% to 179 million all-format audience impressions, according to Nielsen BDS.
