When NBA star Kobe Bryant was just 22, he married 18-year-old Vanessa. Many thought the two were too young for such as commitment and they may have been right. In Dec. 2003, Kobe was accused by a 19-year-old employee of a Colorado hotel of rape. In a press conference in LA, with his wife by his side, Kobe denied the rape allegations but admitted to adultery. Kobe admitted that he’d made a terrible mistake. His wife also acknowledged the mistake that her husband made and sat by his side as if nothing mattered but the two of them.
Vanessa seemed to be the perfect, ride or die wife until Dec. 2011. After more than 10 years of marriage she filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences. There were reports of numerous affairs committed by Kobe, including ones that his team mates wives gladly told Vanessa about. People were shocked when Kobe and Vanessa decided to drop the divorce and stay together. With no pre-nup being involved, Kobe was sure to lose a small fortune, but for whatever reason Vanessa decided to stay. Some say that she didn’t want to give up the glitz and glam that comes along with being a baller’s wife, and some say she actually loves him. Whatever the case may be, Vanessa has definitely stood by her man on more than one occasion.
